Data Stored Locally on Your Device:

  • Affirmation preferences and favorites
  • Breathwork session history
  • Journal entries and mood logs
  • App settings and preferences
  • Session progress and streaks
  • Custom habits and goals

Data Processed Through Third-Party Services:

  • AI chat conversations (processed via OpenRouter/Google Gemini)
  • Text-to-speech requests (processed via OpenAI)

We do NOT collect, store, or have access to your personal data on our servers. All your personal content remains on your device.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely to:

  • Provide personalized affirmations and quotes
  • Track your wellness journey and progress
  • Enable AI-powered coaching conversations
  • Deliver notification reminders you configure
  • Improve your overall app experience

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

OpenRouter (AI Chat):

When you use the AI chat feature, your messages and local personalization context (goals, challenges, recent progress) are sent to OpenRouter's API, which currently routes to Google Gemini. This is used to provide empathetic, context-aware coaching.

OpenAI (Text-to-Speech):

When you use voice features, text is sent to OpenAI's TTS API for speech synthesis.

We explicitly disclose that:

  • We share your chat history and personalization profile with these providers.
  • This data is sent solely for processing and returning AI responses.
  • These providers are prohibited from using your data to train their models for other users (per our API enterprise agreements).

5. Data Security

  • All data is stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage
  • API communications use HTTPS encryption
  • No personal data is stored on external servers

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Your Rights

  • Access all data stored in the app
  • Delete your data at any time by uninstalling the app
  • Disable notifications in your device settings
  • Opt out of AI features by not using the chat function

All your data can be removed simply by deleting the Muse app from your device.

7. Children's Privacy

Muse is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
